We are looking for enthusiastic, high-energy coaches for our girls’ recreational and competitive teams (compulsory and optional). We are a close-knit, family-oriented gym and we’re looking to grow our family! Good coaches make happy gymnasts and happy gymnasts make good coaches better. Come find out what we’re all about!
A qualified applicant will need: the ability to show understanding of compulsory and/or optional skills and routines, including terminology, an understanding of gymnastics deductions and penalties, a current USAG Professional Certification (or the ability to quickly obtain or renew one) and two years experience in coaching competitive team gymnastics (may substitute an appropriate level of competitive experience in some cases).
Coaches will need to be able to plan, prepare and supervise team practices, lead training and development of athletes at all levels, and ensure the safety of all gymnasts. The ability to travel to competitions is desired. Teaching discipline is crucial in gymnastics, both to succeed in the sport and to stay safe and avoid injury, so coaches must be able to provide firm guidance when required. At the same time, gymnastics is fun and we want coaches who love the sport enough that it shows! Finally, gymnasts perform the sport, but parents support it: coaches must be willing and able to communicate to parents clearly and in a professional manner.
Come join our family!
